The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday interrogated a former deputy secretary of the Housing and Public Works Ministry in connection with the allegation of causing a loss of Tk 150 million to the government by allocating plots to journalists, violating rules. ACC deputy director and investigation officer Jatan Kumar Roy questioned former deputy secretary Benjamin Ahmed for nearly 2-and-half-hour from 9:30am at the ACC head office, official sources said. 'Benjamin Ahmed was involved in the process of plot allocation. He issued many notes in this regard. So, he was questioned today (Monday) to know how the plots were allocated,' Jatan Kumar Roy said, according to UNB.
