ACC presses charges against Destiny chief, MD

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has pressed charges in court against Destiny 2000 Ltd Chairman and Managing Director (MD) over misappropriation and siphoning off Tk 32.85 billion. Charge-sheets in two cases were submitted at the court of Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate on Sunday, Mozahar Ali, investigating the cases, said. The Chairman and the MD of Destiny are the main accused in the cases filed by the ACC on July 31, 2012, with Kalabagan police station in Dhaka. Nineteen people are accused in the cases filed against Destiny Multipurpose Cooperative Society while the one against Destiny Tree Plantation Ltd accuses 46, according to bdnews24.com.
