ACC questions 3 more in container handling case

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Sunday questioned former Cabinet Secretary and PSC Chairman Dr Sa'dat Hossain, a former Shipping Secretary, and a serving Additional Secretary in connection with the container handling case filed against former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, reports UNB.
The three-member investigation team separately questioned retired Cabinet Secretary and PSC Chairman Dr Sa'dat, retired former Shipping Secretary Julfiker Haider Chowdhury and Additional Secretary of the Communications Ministry ATKM Ismail, who was a Joint Secretary of the Cabinet Division at the time of the incident.
Members of the investigation team include investigation officer of the case ACC Deputy Director Jahirul Huda, officer of the Taskforce-23 Major Mostafa Kamal and CID inspector of Taskforce-23 Nurul Islam.
The same team will separately quiz four former secretaries today in connection with the case. They are former Economic Relations Department (ERD) Secretary Mirza Tasadduk Hossain Beg (retired), former Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Department (IMED)
Secretary Manik Lal Samaddar (retired), former Energy Secretary Nazrul Islam (retired) and former Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Nurul Islam (retired).
About questioning two detained former ministers Dr Khandaker Mosharaf Hossain and AKM Mosharaf Hossain, he said permission has already been granted by the court and they would be questioned at a convenient time.
