ACC quizzes 7 IBBL officials

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) questioned on Wednesday seven officials of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) over alleged irregularities involving loans to the tune of nearly Tk 13 billion (1,300 crore) taken by the Ananda Shipyard.
A three-member ACC team, led by its deputy director Zainul Abedin Shebly, quizzed them for nearly six hours from 10 am at the ACC head office, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told The Financial Express.
The IBBL officials interrogated on the day were suspended executive vice president Nurul Islam, vice presidents Kazi Moinuddin Khadem, Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan and Alimur Rahman, and assistant vice presidents Musleh Uddin, Monir Hossain and Abul Kalam Azad.
