The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has quizzed former foreign minister and BNP leader M Morshed Khan and his son Faysal Morshed Khan. ACC deputy director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said they were questioned by the investigators on Tuesday. The ACC filed a case against the BNP Vice Chairman in 2013, accusing him of siphoning Tk 3.21 billion out of the country. His son Faysal Morshed Khan and wife Nasrin Khan have also been named in the case filed with Ramna Police Station in the city. ‘I came here as I respect the law. I believe my testimonies will reveal the truth,’ Morshed Khan told reporters after the interrogation. According to the case details, Khan had siphoned off Tk 3.21b from the country through his company Fareast Telecoms Ltd. ACC investigators found that 11 bank accounts, maintained by Khan and the members of his family, were used for laundering the money, according to bdnews24.com.
