ACC raids two hajj agency offices in city

FE Report | Thursday, 5 July 2018

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday conducted separate raids on the offices of two hajj agencies in the capital's Nayapaltan area.
The drives were conducted at United Stars Travels and Win World Travels International following allegations received through the commission's hotline-106.
Assistant Director Taj-ul-Islam led the raids, said ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee.
ACC officials collected information on trade licence and e-TIN of the agencies and also enquired hajj pilgrims present there about the irregularities.
Some pilgrims told the ACC officials that they have paid all the fees but still do not know which agencies will take them to Saudi Arabia.
On Monday, the ACC conducted another drive at a hajj agency, Al-Muzdalifa Aviation, housed at Madina Tower in Purana Paltan area.
