ACC seeks travel ban on two MPs, wives

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) submitted separate applications to impose travel bans on former Member of Parliament for Munshiganj-3, Mrinal Kanti Das, and his wife, former MP for Chapainawabganj-3, Md. Abdul Wadud, and his wife, as well as Abul Kalam Azad, a member of the Pirojpur Zilla Parishad.
The ACC through different applications sought the bans on Wednesday.
The ACC public relations office has confirmed the matter.
They are accused of money laundering, abuse of power, financial irregularities in projects, and accumulating a vast amount of illegal wealth both domestically and abroad.
After the ACC's intelligence unit gathered information on these allegations, an investigation officer was appointed to initiate the inquiry.
