ACC submits charge sheets against former minister, MP

Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) Thursday submitted charge sheet to the CMM court against former minister Shahjahan Siraj and his wife accusing them of accumulating undeclared wealth, reports UNB.
A similar charge sheet was submitted in the same court against former Awami League MP Moqbul Hossain and his wife. They were accused of possessing illegal wealth of about Tk 53. 5 million.
ACC investigating officer informed the court that the accused in both cases remained fugitive and sought orders for attachment of their property.
Admitting the charge sheets, additional chief metropolitan magistrate Golam Rabbani transferred the cases to the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's court for trial.
