ACC sues DG Food for alleged corruption

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against Director General of Food Ahmed Hossain Khan for allegedly committing corruption in a project of the World Bank (WB). ACC Deputy Director M Mafidul Islam filed the case against him with Shahbagh Police Station in the city on Sunday night. The Commission at a meeting on Sunday morning gave approval for filing the case against Ahmed Hossain Khan, ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said. According to the case statement, DG Food Ahmed Hossain Khan along with his family members visited a foreign country taking illegal benefit from a WB project. Finding his involvement in the corruption during an ACC investigation, the case was filed against Ahmed Hossain, the ACC public relations officer said, according to UNB.
