ACC sues Khaleda, Hasina in Niko scams

Separate cases were filed Sunday against former prime ministers Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina and ten others accusing them of entering into deals with Niko that caused an enormous loss to the state, reports UNB.
ACC assistant director Mahbubul Alam filed the case with Tejgaon Police Station against Khaleda Zia, former ministers Barrister Moudud have been accused of assisting him in earning the ill-gotten money.
Shah Alam mentioned Tk 6.2543 billion in his wealth statement submitted to the ACC through his lawyer on March 29.
He had gone into hiding after the government launched an anti-corruption crackdown.
