ACC sues mayor, three councilors in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Dec 13 (UNB): Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) filed four cases against Mongla pourashava mayor and three councilors for misappropriating government money.
M Nazrul Islam, ACC Deputy Director of Khulna, filed the cases against pourashava mayor Mollah Abdul Jalil and councilors Khan Aiyub Ali, Imran Hossain and Alauddin with Mongla thana Thursday night.
Police said the first case was filed against Abdul Jalil and councilor Khan Aiyub Ali for misappropriating Tk 0.36 million (3.60 lakh) in the name of buying motorcycle on March 30, 2005.
