Thursday, 6 September 2007

The Anti-Corruption Commission Wednesday sued business-magnet brothers Salman F Rahman and AF Rahman and five others for "cheating" in taking big bank loans. Salman Rahman, vice-chairman of the business house Beximco Group, who got Awami League ticket to contest the stalled January 22 polls, is already in jail. He was held during the first crackdown on politicians and other high-profile wanted persons under the state of emergency. —UNB
