ACC to serve notices on Titas MD, 3 others

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) decided on Wednesday to serve notices on four people including Titas Gas Managing Director (MD) Engr M Nowshad Islam for submission of wealth statements.
ACC in its regular meeting on the day decided to serve notices on them very soon, an ACC source confirmed.
The others are: Deputy General Manager of Titas Gazipur Rafiqul Alam, Assistant Deputy Engineer Mofazzal Hossain and Titas staffer Nurul Haque Molla.
Sources said ACC received convincing information on amassing of illegal wealth by the Titas MD and three others.
Meanwhile, ACC quizzed a deputy managing director of the state-owned Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) in connection with an allegation of swindling investors' money.
ACC Assistant Director M Al Amin questioned ICB Deputy Managing Director Mashiur Rahman for an hour from 11:00 am at the ACC head office, officials said.
According to the allegation, about Tk 1.5 million was swindled out from the ICB Capital Management Limited, which was invested by two clients in 2009 through fake documents of loans.
Mashiur Rahman is now director and chief executive officer of the ICB Capital Management Limited.
