Accurate, updated stats needed for building prosperous BD

Accurate and updated statistics on all necessary issues has become an urgent need for building happy and prosperous Bangladesh, speakers said at a workshop in Rajshahi on Saturday. They viewed utmost importance should be given on proper collection of primary information from all the need-based fields so that proper and effective development planning could be formulated. Rajshahi Divisional Office of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) under the Statistics and Information Management Department (SIMD) organised the divisional workshop styled ‘National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS)’ held at Nanking Darbar Hall in the city, according to a news agency.
