ACI dominates week\\\'s top turnover chart

Advanced Chemical Industries Limited (ACI Limited), a pharma sector company, dominated the week's top turnover chart on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) last week that ended on Wednesday.
A total of 1.56 million shares worth Tk 759.82 million changed hands last week. Daily average turnover was Tk 189.96 million.
Each share of the company closed at Tk 511.5 on the DSE, registering an increase of 11.32 per cent over the week, according to the DSE website.
The company has reported consolidated net profit after tax (excluding non-controlling interests) Tk 249.01 million with consolidated EPS of Tk 7.24 for the period of nine months (Jan'14 to Sep'14) ended on 30.09.2014 as against Tk 33.83 million and Tk 0.99 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
Of the total shares, sponsor/directors own 35.12 per cent, institutions 37.79 per cent while rest of 27.09 per cent are owned by public, according to DSE website.
In 2013, the company disbursed 85 per cent cash dividend and 20 per cent stock dividend.
After ACI Ltd, the other turnover leaders were - Lafarge Surma Cement worth Tk 518.17 million, Shahjibazar Power Company Tk 503.80 million, GP worth Tk 492.76 million, ACI Formulations Tk 478.36 million.
Newly listed Shasha Denims also came to the top turnover list with shares worth Tk 352.23 million changing hands followed by IFAD Autos Tk 336.47 million, MJL BD Tk 273.65 million, Square Pharma Tk 272.60 million and ONE Bank worth Tk 242.10 million changed hands last week.
