Acid attack on 3 in Kushtia

Three members of a family were injured in an acid attack by miscreants at Gopalpur village adjacent to Islamic University in Kushtia town on Saturday night. Witnesses said a gang of miscreants threw acid on Saleha, 60, her daughter Sonia, 18, and her son Titumir, 13, while they were in their house around 10:30pm. The injured were rushed to Kushtia General Hospital. Doctors of the Kushtia hospital referred Sonia to Dhaka. Islamic University Police Station’s officer-in-charge Shariful Islam confirmed the incident and said one Nayeb Ali was arrested in this connection, according to UNB.
