Action against PO, ministry staff, if found guilty: Nahid

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said on Monday departmental action will be taken against his detained personal officer (PO) Motaleb Hossain and another Education Ministry staff Nasir Uddin, if they are found guilty, reports UNB.
Talking to the news agency at the Secretariat Nahid said "If the duo is found guilty of corruption, the ministry and the department will take stern action against them. No one will be spared in the case of corruption; I'm very strict in this regard."
The ministry will render all kind of assistance to the law enforcers for their investigation, he added. Earlier on Sunday night, Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested missing Lakehead Grammar School owner Khaled Hasan Motin, PO of Nurul Islam Nahid, Motaleb Hossain and Education Ministry staff Nasir Uddin from different areas of the city.
Earlier on Saturday, Motaleb had reportedly gone missing from the capital.
Motaleb's brother filed a general diary with Hazaribagh Police Station in this regard.
Lakehead Grammar School owner Khaled Hasan Motin also reportedly went missing on Saturday.
Nasir Uddin, an upper division clerk of the education ministry, reportedly went missing from the city on Thursday afternoon.
Nayem Ahmed Julhas, brother-in-law of the victim, filed a general diary (GD) with Banani Police Station in this connection.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Monday said the personal officer (PO) of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, education ministry staff and Lakehead Grammar School owner were arrested based on specific information.
Talking to reporters while visiting a Puja Mondop at Rajdhani High School of Manik Mia Avenue, the minister said, "DB men arrested the trio based on specific information."
