Actor Razzak on life support

Eminent actor Abdur Razzak has been hospitalised kept following respiratory problem. Family sources said the film star has been kept on life support at the United Hospitals in the city after complaining with breathing problem. Hospital doctors said Razzak, 67, was admitted to the United Hospitals with respiratory problem on June 26. Later, the veteran actor was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital as his condition deteriorated. Family members of the renowned Bangla film actor sought blessings for his quick recovery. Razzak was born on January 23 in 1942 at Nagtola in Tulliganj in Kolkata. He is referred to as Nayak Raj Razzak. Razzak's major breakthrough in movies was his performance in Salahuddin's Tero Nombor Feku Ostagar Lane. He acted in other movies like "Neel Akasher Nichey", "Maynamati", "Moner Moto Bou", "Swaralipi", "Osru Diye Likha, "Jibon Theke Neya", and "Obujh Mon." Razzak was elected goodwill ambassador of Unicef as a first Bangladeshi film artiste. He was also the founding president of Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association, according to a news agency.
