Actual growth of China fixed asset investment slows down a lot

XIAMEN, Aug 20 (Xinhua): China's present investment in fixed asset is growing steadily, but the actual growth has slowed down sharply allowing for price rises, according to a report on forecast and analysis of China's macro economy jointly issued by the macro economic research centre of the Xiamen University of China and the Asia research institute of the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.

The report said that the growth of investment of manufacturing industry slowed down a lot.

According to the report, China's fixed asset investment increased 24.6 per cent year on year in the first quarter of this year, 0.9 percentage points higher than the growth in the same period last year, and increased 26.3 per cent in the first half, rising 0.4 percentage points year on year.
