ACU meeting in city today

The 44th Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors of Asian Clearing Union (ACU) is going to be held in the city today (Saturday). Incumbent Chairman of the Asian Clearing Union and Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman will address the meeting at Sonargaon Hotel. Bangladesh Bank officials said a new chairman and vice-chairman of Asian Clearing Union for the next term would be elected and the venue for the 2016 board meeting be fixed at the meeting. Governors of the central banks of India, Pakistan, Iran, Nepal and Bhutan, Deputy Governors of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar and Afghanistan and many other high level officials will attend the event. — UNB
