Ad Sarwar new DG of Coastguard IMAGE

Rear Admiral Kazi Sarwar Hossain (TAS), (CD), ncc, psc took over as new Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Coastguard Thursday, an ISPR press release said. Admiral Sarwar was born on January 1, 1959 in a reputed family of Nandail in Mymensingh. Admiral Sarwar is a veteran naval commando who was commissioned in 1980, after graduating from Britannia Royal Naval College, UK. He attended Underwater Demolition Training at US Navy SEAL Training School in 1983 and earned his golden trident. He is a graduate of DSCSC, Mirpur and DSCSC Wellington, India. He achieved Masters in Business Administration degree from Edward University of USA and Masters of Science in Defence Studies from University of Madras. He completed the Naval Command Course from the prestigious US Naval War College.
