ADB mission visits LGED projects in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Apr 13: An ADB team visited the ongoing projects of ADB funded second Rural Infrastructure Improvement Project (RIIP) in Nilphamari district recently.
The team comprising Project Implementation Officer Arun Kumar Shaha, Social Development Officer Ferdousi Sultana Begum and Project Analyst Gulfam-E-Jannat reviewed component-wise implementation progress of different RIIP projects in the district.
The aim of the mission was to prepare a evaluation report reflecting the latest situation of component-wise progress and submit it to ADB. Sources said around Tk 120 million RIIP projects are in progress in the district.
Sources added that the mission expressed satisfaction over various aspects and overall progress of the projects and they discussed the matters with the officials concerned of Nilphamari Local Government Division.
While contacted, LGED Executive Engineer of Nilphamari Khandaker Md Mahaboob Hossain told this correspondent that the mission's visit would increase the pace of the construction works of the project and ensure requisite quality of works as well.
