ADB to provide financial assistance
Friday, 11 April 2014
Asian Development Bank is going to help Bangladesh in reforming the share market. It is supposed to give a handsome US$ 130 million for the share market. Share market was in jeopardy owing to the recurrent fall in prices. Most of the investors lost their temper while the price was plummeting unexpectedly. Analysts believe that this financial support from the ADB will return the market back to the golden time.
The government is trying hard to table the Financial Reporting Act 2013 for passage in the next session of parliament. It would be a great help from the ADB if the government enacts Financial Reporting Act vigilantly as part of its share market reformation programmes. This sector faced trouble because of the callousness and corruption of leading persons.
The leaders played the key role to destruct share market. If corruption cannot be prevented, Bangladesh would face a huge financial problem. It would be very difficult to make both ends meet.
