Addl 16 trains, 200 buses to run ahead of Eid

Additional 16 trains and 200 buses of BRTC will run on different routes across the country ahead of holy Eid-ul Azha to ensure easy and safe journey of homebound people, reports UNB.
The sale of advance tickets of BRTC bus will begin on November 11.
People will able to collect their tickets through cell phones.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Communications Ministry on transportation management at Secretariat Thursday.
Representatives of Roads and Railways division were present at the meeting with Communications Minister Syed Abul Hossain in the chair.
About the outcome of the meeting, official sources said additional 16 trains carrying around 9,500 people will run on different routes across the country. Additional 3-5 compartments will be added with each scheduled train on the eve of Eid.
Mobile courts and surveillance teams involving the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), will be deployed during the period to check black marketing of tickets.
A request letter will be sent to the authorities concerned to keep CNG stations open near Sayedabad, Gabtoli and Mohakhali bus terminals from 3pm to 6pm.
The Ministry will organise meeting involving Deputy Commissioners (DCs), DIG, DMP commissioner and highway police to ensure smooth traffic movement ahead of Eid.
