Tuesday, 28 October 2014

Experts underscored the need to take appropriate steps to address the reason behind dropout of students in the country’s educational institutions. They suggested that the reason behind the dropout of students should be addressed effectively to ensure education for all. They said non-government organisations (NGOs) have an ample scope to work in removing social diseases, including child marriage, eve-teasing and malnutrition of students with a view to stopping the dropout of students. They expressed the views while addressing a seminar in the city. Former caretaker government adviser Rasheda K Choudhury attended the programme as the chief guest. Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, Prof Dr AKM Nurun Nabi chaired the seminar, held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, according to a news agency.
