Adequate public toilets in city demanded

Sunday, 6 July 2014

Rights activists on Sunday urged the government to set up adequate number of public toilets in the capital’s busy points with a view to easing sufferings of pedestrians and floating people. The call was made from a human chain formed by ‘Jibon Juddher Sathi’ in front of the Jatiya Press Club. The speakers urged the government to facilitate the floating people with the public toilets so that they can take bath and wash at free of cost. Leader of Jibon Juddher Sathi Mohammad Hanif, Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) central leader Moinuddin Chowdhury Liton and Democratic Majlum Party general secretary Dr Shamsul Alam, among others, addressed the function, according to a news agency.
