Adilur, Nasiruddin appeal against jail sentence

Rights body Odhikar's Secretary Adilur Rahman Khan and its Director ASM Nasiruddin Elan on Monday filed appeal petition with the High Court against their jail sentence in a case filed under Section 57 of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
Supreme Court lawyer Md Ruhul Amin Bhuiyan filed the petition on behalf of the two Odhikar officials.
They have also submitted a bail petition along with the appeal petition, said the lawyer. The petitions will be placed for hearing very soon, added the lawyer.
