Admirable performance

Sunday, 12 April 2015

The Latin phrase - vini, vidi, vici - means 'I came, I saw, I conquered'. The students of Quantum Cosmo School participated in the Independence Day parade for the first time this year. Their performance was outstanding and they won the first position. It was verily a case of vini, vidi, vici.
Some 200 schools were primarily enlisted for the contest. Of them, only 47 were selected to participate in the event where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was the chief guest. Among the 47 schools, Quantum Cosmo School was selected for the main event.
The school is situated in Lama, Bandarban. The students not only participated in the Independence Day parade for the first time, they also came to the capital for the first time. On the morning of March 26, they, along with students of other schools, performed at the Bangabandhu stadium. It was a superb performance cheered by the whole crowd.
Quantum Cosmo School began its journey in 2001 with 40 underprivileged students. The school has been established by Quantum Foundation which accumulated small donations through matir (clay) bank. Now the school has 800 students who get modern schooling facilities in remote the Bandarban areas. They are brought up with proper care and support. They poor students have shown that if they get proper patronage and support from the people then they can win anything.
