ADP execution 2.57pc in Jul-Aug

The government's development project execution in the first two months of the current fiscal year (FY) recorded the lowest rate in the recent past, official data showed on Wednesday.
During July-August period of the FY 2024-25, the Annual Development Programme (ADP) execution rate stood at 2.57 per cent, some 1.27 percentage points lower than 3.84 per cent of the same period of FY24, Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) data showed.
The government ministries, divisions and agencies had spent Tk 71.43 billion in July-August period of the current fiscal, or 2.57 per cent of the total Tk 2.78 trillion ADP outlay, IMED data showed.
Out of the Tk 71.43 billion expenditure during July-August period, the government agencies spent Tk 32.41 billion from the government's internal resources, Tk 30.98 billion from the foreign loan and Tk 8.04 billion from the agencies' own fund.
