Afghan minister meets Iftekhar

Deputy Minister for Women Affairs of Afghanistan Sayeda Mughan Mustafawi met Foreign Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury at his office in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
The meeting was also attended by Afghanistan Ambassador in Bangladesh Ahmed Karim Nawabi.
They discussed various issues on bilateral relationship between two countries.
The Foreign Adviser expressed his appreciation of the fact that Afghanistan was now a full-fledged member of SAARC, which Bangladesh 'welcomes most wholeheartedly'.
He thanked the Afghan government through the deputy minister for the cooperation rendered by them in obtaining the release of Bangladeshi Nur Islam who was held hostage by insurgents in Afghanistan earlier this year.
