The Afghan Foreign Ministry Thursday sent a communiqué to Bangladesh Foreign Ministry expressing 'optimism' about
BRAC employee Nurul Islam, kidnapped in Afghanistan.
At a press briefing, Adviser for Foreign Affairs Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury said the government would make all out efforts to ensure release of the BRAC official, reports UNB.
He said BRAC workers went to Afghanistan not for war, but to make contribution to the development of that country.
