Afghanistan A Cricket team are set to tour Bangladesh in August next to play two four-day and three one-day matches against their Bangladesh counterparts, reports UNB.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Akram Khan confirmed it on Sunday.
"Bangladesh A team will have a busy schedule later this year. Afghanistan A are coming to Bangladesh in August and after that we (Bangladesh A) will have a tour to Sri Lanka," Akram Khan told reporters at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city.
However, Bangladesh Cricket Board is yet to announce the squad of the Bangladesh A team.
Akram said the board will conduct a training camp with the players who did well in the last season of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League and the final squad of Bangladesh A team will be announced with the best players of the camp.
"We'll start a training camp from next Saturday (May 11) which will continue for 20-25 days and we'll select the squad of Bangladesh A team from this camp," he said.
Right after the series against Afghanistan A, the 2nd string Bangladesh team will fly for Sri Lanka to play against their Sri Lanka counterparts, Akram added.
