ABUJA, June 28 (Commodity Online): African nations, including Nigeria, enjoy abundant sunlight but have the lowest use of solar energy in the world, executives said at a UN summit in Abuja.
The UN Industrial Development Organization hosted a renewable-energy summit in Abuja to advance the use of green technology in African countries.
Hiroyuki Kakuchi, a delegate from Sanyo Electric Company Ltd. in Japan, told the summit that African countries were not taking advantage of the solar potential in the region.
