AG Automobiles given 'Golden Shovel' award by Ford

Ford Motor Company, USA, has given 'Golden Shovel' award to AG Automobiles Ltd for the steps AG has taken to reposition Ford brand in Bangladesh.
A high level marketing and management team of Ford visited Bangladesh to formally hand over the prestigious award to AG Automobiles, a concern of century old Anwar Group.
Ford Motor District Manager (S E Asia) Tom Dickin handed over the award to AG Automobiles Managing Director and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Hossain Khaled at the head office of Anwar Group in the city recently.
Ford Motor Regional Manager (Asia Pacific) David M Westerman, Anwar Group Managing Director Manwar Hossain, Anwar Textile Division Managing Director Hossain Mehmood and Executive Director Hossain Akhtar, among others, were also present on the occasion.
The Ford team was in Dhaka from June 10 to June 12 and observed the overall automobile industry position in the country.
They visited AG Automobiles showroom and workshop at Uttara and discussed marketing strategy and brand planning of AG.
