Agitated locals swoop on Palli Bidyut office

Agitated locals swooped on a Palli Bidyut office in Lalmohan upazila, protesting frequent power outages. Locals said several hundred people attacked the office at Banglabazar at noon. The power-hungry people vandalised furniture and windowpanes of the office at that time. Besides, the consumers in Charfasson upazila gave a two-day ultimatum to authorities concerned to ensure uninterrupted power supply. They also threatened to go for a tougher agitation, including laying siege to the local power office, if the power situation remains unchanged, according to a news agency.
