AGM of 'Sakal Belar Sathi Sangathan' held

The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the 'Sakal Belar Sathi Sangathan', a non-profit, non-political and social welfare organisation, was held at the premises of the Shahidbagh Registered Non-government Primary School, Pallabi, Dhaka, Saturday last, says a press release.
Presided over by Mr. Nurul Alam Majumder, president of the organisation, the AGM was attended by Mr. Khalilur Rahman, administrator, Dhaka South City Corporation as chief guest. Mr. Shamsul Huq Zahid, deputy editor of the Financial Express, Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, professor of Bangladesh Law College, Dhaka and Mr Abdus Sattar Mollah, a social worker, graced the function as special guests.
Besides, Mr. Sultan Ahmed Selim, convener of the celebration committee delivered the address of welcome while general secretary of the organisation Md. Wazed Ali placed the annual report for consideration by members. Following discussion, the annual report that includes accounts for the year 2011 was approved unanimously. Sheikh Bashir uddin and Mr. Kabir Ahmed (Linju) conducted the meeting.
