Agrani Bank to upgrade its Islamic core banking platform

Agrani Bank PLC has entered into a strategic agreement with Millennium Information Solution Ltd. to upgrade its Islamic core banking platform from "Ababil" to "Ababil NG (Next Generation)."
The agreement was signed by Mahmud Hossain, Managing Director & CEO of Millennium Information, and Salim Reza, Deputy General Manager, Information Technology & MIS Division (IT) of the bank, in the presence of Md. Anwarul Islam, Managing Director of Agrani Bank, at the Board Room of the bank's Head Office on Tuesday, says a press statement.
Under this agreement, Agrani Bank will significantly expand its Islamic banking operations through its Islamic Banking (IB) Window expansion programme, increasing coverage from the existing 60 window branches to all its branches across the country.
The Ababil NG platform will act as the core technology backbone supporting this nationwide expansion.
Ababil NG is a modern, scalable and fully Shariah-compliant Islamic core banking solution designed to support comprehensive Islamic banking operations, including deposit management, Islamic financing, profit calculation, regulatory reporting and integration with digital banking and Fintech ecosystems.
The platform ensures enhanced performance, security, compliance and operational efficiency.
