Agreement signed on 2nd Radisson Hotel

The Carlson Hotels, USA-based global hospitality and travel company, has signed a Development Services Agreement for the second Radisson hotel in Cox's Bazar.
The 250-room Radisson Hotel Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2013. The hotel is located on a premier oceanfront location along the world's longest natural beach spanning 120 km.
"We are proud to be the first international hotel company and upscale brand to mark its presence in Cox's Bazar," managing director of Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific Jean-Marc Busato said.
In an interview with the Travel Daily News, Mr Busato said that Radisson is the fastest growing upscale brand in Asia Pacific and recognized for its vibrant, contemporary and engaging hospitality defined by the Yes I Can! service philosophy.
"This aligns with our Ambition 2015 strategy to grow our global portfolio by at least 50 percent to over 1,500 hotels in operation by 2015," Busato added.
"We are very pleased to embark on this partnership with Carlson Hotels," M.A. Alim Chowdhury, managing director of the hotel owner group The Clewiston Group said.
He said that the Radisson brand is well established in Bangladesh. We are confident that this new hotel will deliver superior services and facilities catering to the growing number of discerning local and international travelers, Mr Chowdhury added.
According to officials, the Radisson Hotel Cox's Bazar will feature contemporary designed guest rooms, an all-day dining specialty restaurant, several meeting rooms and a trendy bar. Guests seeking leisure and recreational facilities can indulge in the wellness facilities that will include a swimming pool and a fitness centre.
