Ahsanullah Master killing case SC stays HC bail to convict

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) Monday stayed for six months a High Court (HC) order granting ad interim bail to Rakibuddin Sarker alias Pappu Sarker, a life term convict in the Awami League leader and former lawmaker Ahsanullah Master killing case, reports BSS.
Chamber judge of the Appellate Division Justice Md Abdul Aziz stayed the order on a Criminal Miscellaneous Petition (CMP) filed on behalf of the state seeking stay of the High Court order.
Earlier today, a two-member bench comprising Justice AFM Abdur Rahman and Justice SM Emdadul Haque granted Pappu Sarker six months ad interim bail.
