AIBL introduces \\\'Sanction Screening Automation\\\'

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL) has started 'Sanction Screening Automation' to ensure prevention of 'Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering'.
M Mahfuzur Rahman, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank & Deputy Chief of Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) inaugurated the new automation system as the chief guest Thursday, said a press release.
Chairman of the Bank Badiur Rahman was present as the special guest while Managing Director Md Habibur Rahman presided over the ceremony.
Among others, Board Secretary of the Bank Md Mofazzal Hossain, Deputy Managing Directors Kazi Towhidul Alam, Mohammad Abdul Jalil, Md Fazlul Karim, Muhammad Mahmoodul Haque, Principal of AIB Training & Research Institute Nurul Islam Khalifa, Executive Vice Presidents Syed Masodul Bari, Abed Ahmed Khan, Senior Vice Presidents Engr Md Habib Ullah, Aminul Islam Bhuiyan, Vice President Md Yahya and Assistant Vice President Jalal Ahmed were present on the occasion.
On behalf of Nazdak Technologies, the Sanction Screening Automation technology vendor of the Bank, President & CEO Naz Ahmed and Head of Operation Asif M Choudhury participated in the inauguration ceremony.
By introducing the new automation system, the Bank will be able to scrutinise information of all the clients to identify and prevent any Money Laundering or Terrorism Financing activities.
