Airport official held with ‘Yaba’ in Cox’s Bazar

Security officials of Cox’s Bazar airport recovered 2,000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets and arrested an airport official in this connection on Saturday. Nakibus Sattar, local in-charge of Regent Airways, said when a teenage boy gave a parcel to the Regent airways counter around 2:30pm to send it to Dhaka security operator of the airport Lutfor Rahman, who was in-charge of parcel scanning, completed the scanning in a suspicious way. On suspicion, ansar members, other security officials and Regent Airways officials opened the packet and found the Yaba tablets, he said. They detained Lutfor Rahman and informed Rab members. On information, members of Rab-7 rushed in and arrested Lutfor. Major Rashed, commanding officer of Rab-7, confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
