Airtel brings all div towns under 3G coverage

Private mobile operator Airtel Bangladesh Limited has fulfilled its commitment to BTRC by launching its 3G service in Barisal and thereby ensuring 3G coverage in all the divisional cities of the country by June this year. FM Shahriar Omar Prince, Zonal Business Manager, and Hedayet Hossain, Zonal Customer Service Manager of South West Zone, along with other officials of Airtel were present at a colourful and festive rally in the city to officially inaugurate the launch of the 3G service recently. Chris Tobit, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Bangladesh Limited, in his statement said, “We’re extremely delighted to have fulfilled our commitment to BTRC by launching 3G in all divisional cities of Bangladesh by June of this year,” according to a news agency.
