Airtel launches 3G in Cox’s Bazar

Mobile phone operator Airtel Telecom launched its 3G service in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday. Sarwar Kamal, mayor of Cox’s Bazar, officially inaugurated Airtel’s 3G services as the chief guest through a video call from Cox’s Bazar with Airtel’s CEO and Managing Director Chris Tobit in Dhaka. Sarwar Kamal said introducing Airtel’s 3G services in Cox’s Bazar will help to boost the economy, education and tourism industry of the district and will act as a catalyst to broaden scopes of information and knowledge, according to a news agency.
