Airtel partners with charity to raise fund for Thallesemia

Bharti Airtel has teamed up with Bangladesh Thallesemia Society to help the blood cancer patients by initiating "mTicketing" service of lottery after getting authorisation from the government. The proceeds of the lottery will be donated for the welfare of patients deprived of proper treatment, said a statement. Airtel customers can buy "Bangladesh Thallesemia Lottery 2011" tickets through sending SMS and the serial of the purchased ticket will be sent back through a returning SMS. The release added that customers can type "BTS" and send it to 16244. The price of the ticket is Tk 10 and will be deducted from the customer's balance and no extra charges are applicable. A single customer can purchase tickets they wish to buy. The draw of the lottery will be held on January 15, 2012. — FE Report
