AIUB holds orientation programme for students

The orientation programme of the American International University - Bangladesh (AIUB) for about 650 newly enrolled students of undergraduate and graduate programmes for the spring semester 2009-2010 was held recently at its auditorium, says a press release.
The students and their parents and guardians were informed about the rules and regulations, academic procedures, including registration, examination systems and other relevant matters at the function.
The Founder Chairman of the varsity Anwarul Abedin, Vice Chancellor Carmen Z Lamagna, Pro-vice Chancellor Anwar Hossain, Vice President (Academic) Tafazzal Hossain and Deans of different department, spoke at the function.
Prior to students' orientation session, an orientation programme for newly appointed teachers of the university was also held. Anwarul Abedin, Carmen Z Lamagna and Tafazzal Hossain introduced the newly appointed teachers and apprised them of the academic matters and rules and regulations of the university.
After the core sessions of the orientation programmes the question and answer session was held where the vice chancellor replied to the queries raised by the students, guardians and the newly appointed teachers.
