Akij Plastics to export products to Nepal, Bhutan, US

After exploring the Indian market, Akij Plastics has set its sights on diversifying its destination of shipment further, its officials said.
They said, Akij Plastic, an industrial concern of one of the country's leading conglomerate, Akij Group, will export its products to Nepal, Bhutan and United States.
Chairman of the Group Sheikh Nasir Uddin on Friday said after achieving tremendous success in the domestic market, Akij Plastics has started exporting goods to India.
"We need to increase our export market further. We have targeted to exports goods to Nepal, Bhutan and USA soon," said Mr Nasir Uddin while addressing the Akij Plastics Dealers' Conference-2022, according to a press release.
The conference was held at a hotel in Cox's Bazar town on the day, organised by the company.
Mr Nasir Uddin said Akij Plastics has created a strong position in the national plastic product market since its inception just six years ago.
Senior General Manager of Akij Plastics Chowdhury Hasan Tariq said the company has secured a good position in the market by using state-of-the-art technology, modern machinery, diverse products and remaining uncompromising to quality.
This dealers' conference has been arranged to boost trade both at home and abroad further as well as to encourage the relentless efforts of its workers and dealers, he said.
"We will move forward on a larger scale in the coming days by maintaining the current trend," he added.
Hundreds of dealers, workers and dignitaries from home and abroad were present at the conference, said the press release.
Akij Plastic started its operation in 2016. Apart from the domestic market, plastic goods worth nearly Tk 20 million were exported to India last year.
