AKM Shahnawaj new AMD of Dhaka Bank

Dhaka Bank has promoted AKM Shahnawaj as the Additional Managing Director (AMD) with effect from July 1.
He joined the bank in 2013 as the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and previously fulfilled his duties in the bank as the Regional Manager, Chattagram, Manager of Local Office Branch, Dhaka, and Deputy Managing Director (DMD).
He was the DMD of the bank since July 2018, according to a media release.
Shahnawaj started his banking career in 1989 as a Probationary Officer at Arab Bangladesh bank Ltd.
In 1996, he joined the Muslim Commercial Bank Ltd (MCB). In MCB and Bank Asia PLC he served in different roles, mostly as the Credit Manager and the Head of Branches, before joining Dhaka Bank.
After completing his MBA from IBA, Dhaka University, he has been serving Bangladesh's banking industry for the last 35 years.
He attended different trainings on Banking, Management & Leadership at home and abroad.
