AKTEL announces month-long promotional offer

AKTEL, the third largest mobile phone operator, has come up with a month long promotional offer for its customers, which will enable the prepaid users of the company to get bonus talk time throughout the month of August on particular recharge amount.
"This special offer is designed in such a way that our AKTEL subscribers- young and old alike can celebrate the Friendship Day with their friends and families right through the mobile phone," Managing Director of AKTEL Jefri Ahmad Tambi said at a press meet Thursday.
The International Friendship Day falls on August 3 this year, he said.
"Within the offer, the customers will enjoy 15 per cent bonus on every single Tk. 50.00 and Tk. 100.00 recharge as well as 25 per cent bonus on each and every Tk. 300.00 and Tk. 600.00 recharges throughout the campaign period," Jefri said. "However, this bonus will be applicable for five FnF numbers to any operator," he added.
"These customers will enjoy at the same time one-month free subscription of GoonGoon upon the recharge of the said amount," Jefri said. "Moreover, just by dialing 8345, AKTEL customers will also be able to send songs and voice greetings as well as SMS and MMS greetings to their friends," he stated.
Replying to a question about the mobile phone operator's present subscriber base and its future plan; Jefri said currently the operator has around 7.8 million subscribers countrywide. However, he emphasised investing more on strengthening the network coverage as well as enhancing the quality of service and products.
Chief Commercial Officer of AKTEL Biddut Kumar Basu and Head of Corporate Affairs Javed Tariq also spoke on the occasion.
International Friendship Day which is now celebrated annually worldwide, falls on the fist Sunday of August each year.
