AKTEL announces new call rate of Tk I.00/min

AKTEL, one of the country's leading mobile operators, announced a new promotional offer for its pre-paid customers. Now all AKTEL customers will talk at Tk 1.00 per minute from 7:00am to 12:00 midnight.
The new promotional offer was announced at a press conference in the city Thursday last, said a press release.
The release said AKTEL customers would continue talking at Tk 0.25 (25 paisa) to their partner for 24 hours and to all other AKTEL numbers from 12:00 midnight to 7:00am. There will be a call setup charge of only Tk 0.50 to all mobile phones from 4:00pm to 12:00 midnight. This call rate to five FnF numbers will remain unchanged.
While announcing the offer, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of AKTEL Jefri Ahmad Tambi said, "AKTEL is committed to providing a quality network and innovative services across the country."
AKTEL is working relentlessly to offer innovative value added services such as phone back-up, news update, Cafe 8000 (music any time), missed call alert etc., he said adding, "AKTEL is bringing 'unwanted call blocker service' very soon to help customers keep themselves away from disturbing calls."
While talking to media, Chief Commercial Officer of AKTEL Bidyut Kumar Basu said, "AKTEL gives greatest importance to the needs of the customers by keeping their expectation and feedback in mind, AKTEL is offering this rate to talk to any mobile in the country."
Chief Financial Officer Nora Junita Hussaini and Head of Corporate Affairs Javed Tariq and other high officials of the company were also present at the press conference.
