Aktel donates ceiling fans, mats to mosques

As a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Aktel, a leading cell phone operator in the country, has donated floor mats and ceiling fans to a number of mosques located in Chittagong, Netrokona, Muktagachha, Rajshahi and Dhaka.
Aktel has taken the initiative under its 'Community Based CSR Programme' considering the comfort of devotees during the holy month of Ramadan.
Managing Director and CEO of Aktel Jefri A Tambi inaugurated the programme in Chittagong by handing over the items to Senior Vice President of Kunjochhaya Residential Area Mosque Al-Hajj Shahidullah Majumdar recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Tambi said the Aktel management is pleased to contribute for the country's religious institutes.
Head of Corporate Affairs of Aktel Segufta Y Samad, along with other senior officials, attended the inaugural function.
The event was followed by donation programmes at a number of mosques in the districts of Netrokona, Muktagachha, Rajshahi and Dhaka.
